About the Book
|
George's Marvellous Medicine is a children's book
written by Roald Dahl. It tells the story of George, an 8 year old boy, who is
fed up with his grandmother's selfishness and her attitude towards him. He
decides to make a special medicine making use of all the available things in
the household including some harmful items. Whether George gives the medicine
to Grandma and what happens to her if she takes the medicine are the suspense
elements that will excite the students to read the book.

About the Author

Roald Dahl was a famous British novelist and
short story writer. He has written a good number of stories for children
including His works include James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and The Witches

Book Trailers
|
Digital Book Trailers are short videos to promote
a book. They are made with the purpose of motivating others to read the book.
Book Trailers are made using different softwares
and in different formats like PowerPoint Presentations, PDF, Videos etc. Here
the attempt was to create a book trailer using Alice.

Presentation
|
The final video was presented to the members of
the Readers' Club. The response from the students was highly encouraging.
Almost all the students wanted to read the book and the demand for other
books by Roald Dahl was high.
As expected, the animation could generate
interest among the students towards Alice programming.
